Biography
Rick is a founding shareholder of Hills Legal Group, Ltd. and the predecessor firm established in 1990. He has practiced insurance defense litigation for his entire legal career of 40 years. For his outstanding legal work, he has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Rick has a statewide practice and has tried over 145 jury trials in twenty-seven different counties. He has successfully defended cases at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a frequent presenter on insurance litigation issues and has assisted in the training of claims staff with respect to the handling of Wisconsin claims.
Rick and his wife, Elaine, enjoy his time away from work by walking their dog, boating, and traveling to Napa. Rick gets most of his exercise zig-zagging across the golf course.
